I'm facing the following Scenario (AX 2012 R3 CU 11):
we normally have On-Hand in Inventory Status Available (two warehouse types: WHS managed internally and WMS with Logistic Provider and interface).
For some items it happens periodically that stock get short and we need to block the automatic release process for These items. A user must release manually the corresponding sales order line. After some time the item will be fully covered again and the normal automatic release process can take place.
My solution would be:
By standard we should use for all the stock and sales line the Inventory Status 'Available'. If we go short we update the status of all the stock of the Item two a second Status 'Short' (not blocked as well). The user will have to update the Inventory Status on the sales line manually from Available to Short in order to relesase and reserve the stock.
Now the Problem is that AX doesn't allow to have on the same license plate two different Status. So if I try to update the Status from Available to Short, and on a license plate there is a picking work, the update will fail for the whole License plate.
Does a Workaround exist? Or do I need here a modification?
