How can I submit a bug in Dynamics AX 2012

I've tried to do that in Connect, but I'm not able to enter a bug related to the client or enterprise portal side of AX and in LCS I do not see anywhere a section for this. Is there any other place I can report issues in the standard code?

    1) submission of bug in general

    or

    2) submission of bug to get support from Microsoft

    Submitting a bug I discovered while working with a certain feature (it is for sure a bug). I am not looking to get support for it, just reporting it.

    Hi Iulian,

    Why are you not able to get support? Like Sohaib mentioned you can use Microsoft Connect, but that will probably not help you solving the problem in the current version and in time. Connect is more intended to provide feedback.

    Sohaib: I looked at that link, but those are the Suggestions. I was looking for Report Bugs.

    André: I am not looking for support necessarily - these are not items that affect me directly, or if they do, I have already in place workarounds. However, I wanted to report these so they will be fixed at some point in the standard.

    I do have few items to report, but for instance, I was reported an issue with the financial dimensions in Enterprise Portal loosing values in certain scenarios (when doing certain postbacks).

    I know that several years ago it was much easier to report bugs (did it couple of times - however, I must admit I am not sure if they didn't went through the company's account).

    Hi Iulian,

    You can contact Microsoft support with a valid and active support agreement. The customer can have e.g. Premier support or also the partner. If this is not there, the only thing you can do is log it on Connect. As you mentioned you have your solution already, this would help Microsoft aware of problems.

    As the new AX will be browser based, where also the segmented entry control has been revisited, I do think this is obsolete to mention. For other issues you can indeed see if this could help improving the product in future.
