Hi,

We use the product builder while generating sale order for specific requirement

While entering the item code in the sale order line, we select the product and supply tab and selecting the configuration under product model header , we specify the values for the requirement.

after completing , the system shows an infolog to either create a new BOM or reuse the existing BOM . After selecting the BOM option, we take the print of the datasheet for the product configfured. if required , we re configure the product for changes if any , under the product and supply tab.

but when we try to define for a specific model, under the product model header we could see the "configure and Data sheet' tabs are disabled and we are not able to reconfigure

please advise

Hi Sriram,

Can you possibly illustrate your question with screenshots? Are you using the product builder or product configurator.

Note that the product builder is available in AX2012 when upgraded from previous versions, but it has been fully deprecated in the current Dynamics 365 versions. The product configurator is the replacement. See also: docs.microsoft.com/.../deprecated-product-builder

Hi,

Issue been solved.

reason is due to the wrong configuration made while creating the item master.

we made the following changes and now working fine

1. Configuration type : Rule based

2. Under Engineer tab : Enabled the product builder

By making these changes in the item master for this item , the issue is been solved
