Calculate Item Cost funcionality

Does anybody knows if is possible to Calculate Item Cost (standard cost) based on active trade agreements prices for a purchased item? Our customer´s request is to consider the trade agreements prices of an item instead of the last purchase price for the new standard cost.

With this parameters we get a new pending standard cost based on the last purchase price but is not what we need:

Thank you

    Hi,

If I get you right then you want to have cost prices that consider the trade agreements that you have with your vendors. Is that right?

    Why would you need that?

Wouldn't you get simply other trade agreement prices?

I don't understand the reasoning behind.

Would be great if you could elaborate.

    Many thanks,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

    Thank you for your answer.

Our client needs to update the standard cost each semester and the request is: "it should consider the price that the next order would go through at".

For example. From 01/07/2021 to 31/12/2021 the standard cost is 1 EUR. Last purchase price is 0.8 EUR and they renew the prices with one of the vendors to 1.1 EUR from 01.01.2022. They ask to calculate a new standard cost for the first semester of 2022 of 1.1 EUR.

How do you think about this business process?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi Sorana,

The problem that I see from that is that you want to have a vendor specific 'standard cost price'.

In my opinion that is not a standard cost price if you have a price of $1 for item X if it is purchased from vendor A and $1.5 for item X if it is purchased from vendor B.

That is my understanding from what you mentioned.

If my understanding is correct then I don't see the necessity of using standard costs.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
