you do not have permission to run the 'design codeunit basic'

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I cant access the code units in the development environment. My user roles are super and basic. My license is 8600 code units(100). So I have no idea why I cant access it or create a new code unit.

Thank you.

Granule 8600 codeunits gives you access to run the codeunits, unless you have Applicaiton Builder or Solution Developer license you don't have access to customize those objects. Please check below link for the granules

It can be so when you operate under a customer license. Regardless the fact that you have 8600 code units (100), you need end-user developer's license.

Option 01: You can simply create a page or codeunit and try to save it within the 50000 object range. If it saves without out any error you are good to go.

Option 02 : Follow below link for the info : tharangac-dynamicsnav.blogspot.com/.../how-to-find-which-objects-are-included.html

You need to check the license permission for the range of codeunits (100) available for customization. You can create dummy page using License Permission Table and check the ouput.

If object permission is not assigned properly, you need to get this done via Partner.
