Hello Experts,

One fine morning, when my client started to work in morning, we found all that it is as good as system reset to 31st January 2018 and all the data had been deleted from the system. We have no idea how this happen. We do not run any batch job or we do not have any job queue running. So my question is:

1. How to recover the lost data?

2. How to identify the reason why this happened?

We use Navision 2015 (GB) version, and SQL Server 2008 R2.

Please advice.

Thank you in advance.

in that case, my bet is on someone restored a backup of that date in sql.

All data till 31st of January 2018. No filters applied. Data not available in SQL too.

We have found nothing in SQL Logs if it is restored from old backup.

Try to look into the event log if any one has restored the database.

If you have setup auto backup policy on a daily basis then you can restore the database.

If on server if you have kept backup policy for windows backup then also you have chances to recover the database.
