Add Sales Origin field to Customer (Sales Order Default form) on creation

Hello everyone,

I need to add the Sales Origin field that is on the Sales Header under Set up on the Sales Order -

to the Sales Order Defaults form under All Customers -

I have created a new field via the Personalize this page option, but that obviously only works for your current customer and view. I need the Sales Origin to be an option field when creating the customer, and not only when creating a sales order. I am not sure whether the custom field is the way to go or if there is another way without diving into development?

Hi, I'm so sorry, I pressed the wrong button and it reported the post... Ai.

Thank you for your reply, I actually read your blog before I posted on the forum. :) That's what helped me try the custom field.

So there is no way to do this without customization. There should be though, I can't imagine it being uncommon to want to customize fields on the forms.

    Thank you again.

    Hi Nicky,

Do you need to choose on the customer from the same list of sales origins as setup?

Is your requirement to take the default value from the customer when creating a new sales order?

If your answer is 'yes' to one of these two questions, you will need a customization via Visual Studio. The custom field via personalization is than not working.
