Hi Guys. Good day!

I have some issues in generating reports in Retail using cubes. I am able to generate reports from the first transaction up to January 31, 2016. My issue is I am not able to generate report starting Feb 1 onward. I already processed the cubes but still I fail to generate.

Please help.

January 1 - 31, 2016 - Successfully generated reports

Feb onward - No data generated

    Hi

I suggest to review the Cube structure.

When you open the report manager url, you have a Dynamics OLAP connection in that. Please review if it's correct.

Mostly all the cubes in AX reads data from views while executing. You might have to dig into the details of the cube and find out.

    Hi Raph,

Check the date setup at Sys Admin -> Setup -> Business intelligence -> Analysis services -> Date dimensions.

Which dimension in the cube is used for the dates?

If this report is using the dimension named Date, it may be the case that the date range for the calendar is set to end around the end of January.  If so you can change the date range for the calendar to fix this.

To change the calendar settings, open the BICalendarBuilder form and check the end date for your calendar.  Typically the calendar is named Date.  You may need to add additional years to the calendar range and then reprocess.  On reprocessing, do a full process rather than incremental, otherwise ssas will not pull in the new date dimension values.

If the report is using some other dimension, please describe which dimension is used and what table or view the dimension uses for date values..

    Hope this helps,

    Lance.

If you are processing the cube by using SQL server management studio or SQL agent, please make sure that the cube datasource db is referring the correct database for example stage db instead of production db.

    Hi Dick,

I have a job that automatically process the cubes. But still no luck in generating the reports. What can I do next?

    Thanks,

    Raph

    Hi Manish,

The DynamicsOLAP is there. How can I review this? I am just wandering why we can't generate reports starting February onward, but we have reports from Jan 1-31.

Do you have any idea why?

    Please help.

    Thanks,

    Raph

    Hi Guy,

The date dimensions are properly configured. What else can I do next?

    Thanks,

    Hi Lance,

We only used dates as the dimension. And it is also already configured properly.

We also processing the cubes on a full process but still no luck in generating the data in AX. Is there anything we can do?

    Thanks,

    Raph
