Add Contacts and Accounts to Marketing Lists from Forms.

Hello,

I was wondering how I can enable to add leads, contacts and accounts to marketing leads from their respective forms. For example, when I create a new  account, I want to have an option under the marketing section, to add that particular account to a desired marketing list.

Any advise is much appreciated.

Thanks...

    Hello yucelm,

I have another option which is to add sub grid of 'Marketing List' on Contact form. Once that is added, when you click on '+' button, you will see the marketing lists (again based on default view that you have set for this particular subgrid).

Now instead of selecting individual list, click on 'Look Up More Records'

    Lookup-Window.png

which will again the similar lookup window and there you can select multiple marketing lists and click on select to mark them as selected

    Lookup-Window.pngmultiple-selected.png

And once that is done, click 'Add'.
I hope this will is helpful in terms of adding same contact to multiple marketing lists in one go.

    Thanks

    Sunil

RE: Add Contacts and Accounts to Marketing Lists from Forms.

    Hello Mihir,

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you are saying. In order to add one person to multiple lists. I have to create combinations of queries, considering I have 9 different lists, it would be exceptionally hard. Please see the example below:

PERSON X (it can be a lead or contact) will be added to:

    LIST 1: PROMOTIONS

LIST 2: GREETINGS FOR SPECIAL DAYS

    LIST 3: YEAR END SALE

So in order to add this person to three different lists, I can either do it manually.

This would be a nightmare considering the amount of leads we have.

OR, create a "multi-select" query list "as an entity" on my new lead or new contact form.

Therefore when I add a new lead or contact, I can simply select multiple queries from this "multi-select" list and that particular lead/contact would be automatically added to the corresponding marketing lists (dynamically).

I hope it is bit more clear what I want to achieve now.

I really would appreciate your help if you know any way to achieve this setup.

    Many thanks...

    Yucel

For Dynamic 365 Marketing List you can determine the query for members.

If the query is same for multiple marketing lists it will auto add the members.

    Hello Mihir,

I have a quick question for you. I have created dynamic lists and I defined a category for each one.

So when I add a new lead, I select a "lead category" and that person automatically is added to the corresponding list.

Problem is that in many cases I want to add the same person to multiple marketing lists.

For example: Client A should be added to "Promotions for Brand" and "Special Discounts"

Since I can only select one category from the drop down list. How can I solve this issue?

    Many thanks in advance...

ok. You can configure and use Dialogs to add the contact to more than one marketing list.

I have not tested this but it should work.

    Hi,

Yes I am aware of that. Unfortunately that only allows me to add the person one list at a time. If I want to add that particular lead to 3 different lists, I have to do this action three times. Can that option be modified so it would allow me to select multiple lists at one time?

    Thanks...

    Hi,

There is already a button on the top menu on Lead, Account and Contact form.

Its called "Add to marketing list"

This may be all you need. No customization needed.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I looked at the dynamic list option but that doesn't work for me.

Simply because it would be extremely hard to create the conditions that are specific enough to qualify these leads/contacts.

We have 5 different brands and we promote each of them separately.

In some cases though, one customer is interested in 2 or more brands. So if those cases I must be able to add that person to more than one marketing list.

My perfect solution would be to be able have a drop-down list on "leads" and/or "contacts" forms and every time I create a new lead/contact, I would simply select the lists that I would like that person to be subscribed to.

Does this require any coding or is there any simple way to achieve this?

You can set up Dynamic marketing list. And based on the query, the system can add the record to the marketing list.

    For example -

Create a Lead Marketing List type Dynamic.

The query can be set up to find the type of lead the system should auto add.

Than add existing leads using the query.

As new leads are added, those that meet the query selection criteria, they willbe added to the Marketing list.
