Executing batch job in ax 2009

Hi Friends,

I have a Batch Job, which got stuck at Executing status and I read that by setting it to Cancelling and then restarting the batch server AOS, However, after doing so the status is stuck at Cancelling and not changing.

I terminated running worker threads (in addition to changing status of batch tasks), No luck.. isn't rolled back.

Please suggest me, how to change back to waiting.

How long usually you batch job runs ? And from how long it's in cancelling state ?

Hi Vinay,

Sometimes it can take a while to get to the cancelled status. When the status is not changing by itself, you can try to reset the status yourself manually, or using a script. As the AOS was restarted, the process itself is not running anymore.

If it stuck cancelling update batch job status and tasks status via x++ job or via sql. But before cancelling something again check that it is not doing anything, some jobs can take a lot of time, sometimes days.

Yes,

I cleared my issue.. It's stuck with executing, because of that user (batch) is still running.. so, next time is also stucking with the previous user.. I had check in administrator -> common form -> online users..( here showing the stucking list)..

I had kill the users in SQL.. while killing the users, batch back to waiting (automatically).
