Hello,
Can anyone please help me to share Dexterity Code/Script to hide or disable Print button in Report Preview Screen (See below image). I have a scenario where user can only preview the report but should not send it to printer from this screen. Thanks.
Good day Mr.Imran Ali,
Our company needed similar kind of customization related to report destination window and got a person doing this, they didn't share the code/script but only chunk file. if you want i can provide you contact address so you can talk and get this done.
This is a fairly simple customisation using GP Power Tools.
A single trigger against the runtime engine dictionary would achieve this.
FYI: VBA or VSTools cannot do it.
Regards
David
Hi David,
Thanks, if possible, can you share Dexterity Code/Script to do it?. Thanks.
I can create the project in GP Power Tools.
But would need some clarifications:
Is this for all reports?
This will only stop reports printing if you sent it to screen first. What about the Report Destination windows, do we need to prevent printer being selected there as well?
It would help if you explained what you are trying to achieve. What is the big picture?
Here is the GP Power Tools project that hides the print button from the screen output window AND hides the Printer checkbox from both the Report Destination window in Dynamics and the Report Destination window in the Dexterity runtime.
