Invoke Webservice Nav 2015

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I imported a CodeUnit into Navision 2015 and published it as as SOAP Webservice. In the "Web Services" grid I see the corresponding entry with a SOAP url. By clicking the URL the IE is opened and I receive the message in the browser, that it is not possible to show the website.

We currently use the default license, that is installed with the demo.

Do we need another license?

Christian

    Hey Christian,

User should must have SUPER Right.  Make the User DB Owner and give him the admin right from SQl. One more thing you should must check that the Codeunit Object number that you are using must comes under your license.

    Hi all together,

    thanks for your help!

    SOAP was disabled.

When I try to invoke the Webservice from my C# app I receive a exception, that I do not have the privileges for the CodeUnit "MyCodeUnit".

Can you please tell me, where I can set the privileges for the CodeUnit?

I am a newbie in Navision.

    Thanks

    Christian

    Hey Christian,

First of all you should must check the Firewall(many times this happens to be the major cause ), secondly License doesn't act has a barrier while exposing any codeunit if you can access that Object.

In Administration your SOAP service must be active which normally by default is active but you should crosscheck. See the below screenshot

What is the code unit number?

Can you attach the exact error message here?

    Hi, thanks for your help.

Can you please tell me, where the soap services are enabled?

The service itself is already enabled (grid "Webservices"). Exists another special setting?

    Thanks

    Christian

Hi , This could be a number of things . Check firewall, check if soap services enabled in the administration tool.

Browser should be able to show the site .
