Journal lines-how many?

Hello,

Is there a max number of lines that a journal can take? We are thinking about importing depreciation lines in to a fixed asset journal. We have more than 12000 lines so I wonder if there is any technical issues with this.

There is no limit on journal lines table. 12000 lines will be imported normally.

Furthermore, if you face any cache issue/ buffer size on any form you can change it from server configuration.

Any limit.

However, I suggest to split the lines in more asset journal just avoid to wait long time for posting only one journal.

You will see some performance issue with this much of lines in journal while posting it.

consider posting the journal in batch mode

have good configuration for AOS server for Batch processing

have at least 16GB of RAM on Batch server

From user experience point of view, Performance issue is not felt, at time of posting a Journal. Because It is supported by SysOperation and There is progress bar which appears at time of posting. I remember I posted a journal with 9000+ lines. The only awkward moment for me, was while uploading it via DMF. As DMF has No progress bar
