BDM "Edit" option Greyed Out after Update

Current Issue:

We are unable to edit our BDM documents and one of them is stuck in a "currently being edited" state.

Our consultants upgraded the Dynamics 365 UAT environment on Tuesday to version 10.0.39.

After this, the BDM documents are no longer editable, however, I can publish those which are not in a "currently being edited" state.
When I try to publish the Sales order Confirmation (which is the aforementioned "being edited" document), I receive the following error:

See attachment "1"

On the back of this, however, I am able to create and complete documents using ER, except for the Sales Order Confirmation; however, BDM doesn't allow me to edit any documents at all, see below:

See attachment "2"

The Edit and Publish options are greyed out and when hovering over them I get a “blocked” symbol.

Further to this, when trying to publish the sales order confirmation UK via ER, I receive the following error:

See attachment "3"

Additional troubleshooting:
I found a similar issue post which advises a potential solution being enabling "Access Permissions Settings" for area: Organisation Administration > Electronic reporting > Business Document Management > Manage Access permissions to edit templates. This can be accessed here: Forum Guide.

After enabling this, no change was seen, we tested if the editing of BDM documents was possible on two system admin accounts but neither were able to edit.
I added each BDM document individually to the permissions for system admins in the BDM permissions area however, again, there was no change seen.

I also checked both accounts are set as system admins and have tried logging out and in, clearing cache and accessing BDM on different browsers with no results.

After completing some research I found that there seems to be a few BDM issues when updating Dynamics environments to v10.0.39, 40 and 41. Please see: Reddit Link. Could this be the issue?

I hope to hear from someone soon,
Thanks
David

    Hi David,

Can you repost your images, please? They are not visible to me. Is BDM the abbreviation for Business Document Management? Can you confirm this, please?

    Hi Andre,

Re-added the images for you, they should be showing up now?

Also BDM is the abbreviation of Business Document Management in this respect.

    Thanks,
    David.

    Hi David,

Thanks for adding the pictures in a different way. I haven't seen this issue myself before. I don't have an environment available with changed documents. If the upgrade was the only thing you did and the system administrator role doesn't provide the correct access either, you can log an incident for Microsoft Support.
