Unable to install Retail headquarter

Hi Guys,

I was having retail headquarters installed on my local machine. To fix the error for MPOS designer, i uninstalled the Retail headquarter and tried to install it again using AX setup file. But it is giving me error "There is a problem with this Windows installer package. a program run as a part of the setup did not finish as expected.Contact your support personnel or package vendor".

I am unable to understand, how it got installed in the first place. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

Try to install Retail headquarter component on the machine that has AOS installed;

Make sure you have the English language installed on the machine;

I found several solutions that might works. One is go into Services and start "Window Installer" service. Then try to reinstall the Retail HQ. If the error persist then restarting the AOS should work.
