How to use AOS server capacity

Hi,

I need your opinion about the batch server capacity. We have one job that is running on eight threads. During this time, none other jobs can run. Most of our other job runs on one thread and 30 min recurrence. It means that we are not able to move them to the batch server mentioned before.

My question is how to use batch server capacity full? My first thought was to let even ax users use this server to get better performance, but maybe there is another solution that I am not aware of.

Thank you for your suggestions/advice

    Hi,

I cannot ad tasks that are running every 30 min because they will disturb the main jobb that is running one time per day and using 8 threads. All jobs that are using 1 thread only, don't feel well  on 8 threads server.

So you want to load this server with other tasks but don't want them to wait for 30 minutes? You want be able to achieve this. All you can do is to allocate low priority jobs to it, so they can wait for half an hour, this way you will get continuous load there.

    Hi,

we have 6 batch servers, all of them are dedicated to short running job. I moved all jobs that are running one time per day but capacity of the server is still on 20% level.

Easiest solution is to have at least 2 batch servers and at least 2 batch groups, this way you can have 1 server dedicated for quick and often tasks and another dedicated to long running jobs.
