Field Service - Settings - Administration menu is missing when you access any of the items to be set up

Posted on by 15

I am getting ready to test the functionality of a Work Order. In order to do that I went ahead to set up the corresponding items, so I can actually create a new WO.

I am trying to set up Tax Codes and please see attached - there is no way I can add a new one. I am the admin, I restarted system, I tried to pick another item to set up and the same thing happens. If there is a record in the item to set up already and I select it to edit, then a window opens and the menu shows up the correct way. Is anyone experiencing the same?

I have Customer Engagement Version 9.0

For Customer Service Hub: I can get to Service Management from left hand side menu from "Change Area"

For Connected Field Service: I can get to Connected Settings from the left hand side menu from "Change Area"

Field Resource Hub does not have an option to "change area"

For Field Service : this message shows up: "This app is designed for the legacy web client, and it can cause unexpected errors and experience. For the best user experience, update your app to Unified Interface."

I go to the left hand side menu on the bottom area and access Settings - Administration - brings me to Field service administration window to set up field service Features like Tax codes , Work order types, priorities, characteristics...when I click on one of them , the window opens, but the top menu to add new ones is missing.... Please see screenshot:

If I added one record in the old experience then I can selected and open the record, then menu Add New, Edit aso. shows up....

This UI looks better! Have you looked at the security role and its access privileges for the Tax Code entity?

Thank you for your answer. I am EOS, but for some reason Microsoft is asking me to make a new community account, not allowing me to log in.

I have the Customer Engagement v. 9.0 and this is what I get once I try to use your URL:

Strange, I tried this in a fresh FS v8.7 instance and can add tax codes as well as priorities. I did notice however that your UI looks different from mine. The navigation looks like the new Unified Interface, the list itself looks like the old web client. Can you try this URL: https://<your instance>.dynamics.com/main.aspx?appid=<your FS App GUID>&pagetype=entitylist&etn=msdyn_taxcode This should get you to the Tax Code administration in Unified Interface.
