Preventing double-clicking of process wave button

Posted on by 115

Hello.

We have a problem where if you accidentally press the execute wave button twice or more in the wave table form, AX will try to process that wave multiple times causing numerous issues.

We're trying to figure out a way to prevent this, and I thought it would be as simple as doing this:

However, even though the button does disable after you click it the first time, this doesn't seem to work.  Maybe there's too much of a delay when it gets disabled or something, or you can still get the button to work even though it grays out, but I'm still able to get AX to try to process the wave multiple times.

What should I do?

    Hi,

No, not that site. Check LCS issue search: https://fix.lcs.dynamics.com/

Are you talking about this page:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../AX2012hotfixes

Whenever I try to log in to customerSource, I get a server error:

    Hi AXGreenHorn,

Have you checked if there is an update available which could have fixed this already? You can search within the knowledge base on LSC issue search. If there is no solution, I would recommend to create a service request for Microsoft.

If you want to have a quick solution, I would more look into an option to let AX know that the record is in processing mode before executing the Process itself. Probably add a new field with a status. You then also have to "release" the record when it has been processed or failed.
