Hi.
We are trying to understand the licensing model for Onboard. For the internal users (staff) what we understand is as follows:
a) users who will manage Templates (create, delete, update) need a license for Onboard OR the full Dynamics 365 for Talent license
b) users who will manage Onboarding guides (create, delete, update, send them out) also need one of the two licenses above
c) users who will be assigned activities need a Team Member license to do their job: login to Onboard, find his/her activities in the Tasks menu, set activities as completed
Is this understanding correct? One of the challenges to verify the understanding above is that I am not clear on how to get trial licenses for Team members. I am using a Talent trial org right now and I cant find it in the list of products that can be purchased or have trial started.
So, the questions are
1. Is the licensing model above correct?
2. If so, how can we get a trial of the Team Member licenses?
Thanks you very much.
Roque Daudt
Thanks, Nicu.
Hi Roque,
you are almost correct: users with Team Member licenses can also have access to CoreHR, Attract and Onboard. A license for Onboard is 8 USD - the same as the one for Team Member.
Team members can also be invited to contribute and add parts of the Onboarding Guides.
you could get a trial for team member from your licensing partner.
So I would have a mix and see who has to contribute to Onboarding guides? Is it an HR person? an Employee? or a Manager? - for the last 2 you only need Team Member license
regards,
Nicu
