Form Access issue

Posted on by

Hi,

While loading the form, I am getting the following error,

You do not have {0} permission to access {1} records. Contact your Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator for help.
What could be the reason?
How can I fix this?
Thanks

If the Security Role is properly available.

Login to Dynamics CRM --> Click Gear Icon on Top --> Select Advance Settings --> Go to Customization --> Customize the System --> Expand Entites --> Select the Entity--> Expand the Selected Entity(eg Account)--> Select FORMS --> Open the Forms --> Click Enable Security Roles--> Make sure proper security roles available.

    RE: Form Access issue

    Hi CRMQQ,
    There could be two reasons.

    1. You do not have permissions to access the form for that entity. An entity can have multiple forms against it and each of them can be access controlled based on security roles. Example : Account entity can have one form for Account managers and a different form for Salespeople
If this is the case Make sure you have permissions to the entity form that you are trying to access.
    2. You do not have permissions to one or many of the look up entities that the form references to. Example: If you are trying to access an Opportunity form but dont have permissions to the Account record that the Opportunity is referencing to. If this is the case make sure they you have READ permissions on all the records that are referenced in lookup fields.
