Hello,

since Service Update 10.0.17 we got the Message "An error has occurred." on the Preview for the DocuRef Control.

We just get this error for PDF - Files at our UAT Environment. On DEV it Works.

Does anybody have the same issue and know how to fix it?

This is information from Insider Program Yammer:

We are aware of some issues in this space (due to differences in the handling of content types by the infrastructure of self-service environments). The issue is caused by code passing in file extensions (e.g. txt, pdf) instead of valid content types (e.g. text/plain, application/pdf) and those not being interpreted correctly on the self-service environments. While we are making some changes to try and address this for common extensions via issue 565972 (which should be visible in LCS by the end of the week on LCS for tracking purposes), we highly recommend folks to ensure their code is passing in content types instead of extensions (as our fix may or may not catch your specific extension).

I guess it's related to your problem as well.

    Hi Stefan,

I ran into the same problem in 10.0.18 in a file upload in the released products. I resolved it by changing the filename of the PDF. In my case D365FO would not accept a comma in the filename. Underscores or dots seemed to be no problem.
