Dear Experts,

Hope you are doing good!

Could you please guide me how we can achieve Integration between Dynamics 365 F&O and Microsoft Teams/SharePoint. Any reference docs would be really helpful.

Thanks,

Sandeep

    Hi,

There is a standard out of the box integration with SharePoint that can be enabled in the OrgAdmin module in the document management parameters. You only need to specify the Sharepoint Url there.

For what purpose do you want to use MS Teams and integrate it with F&O?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

It all depends on what you want to integrate and how.

For example, there is already a kind of integration with SharePoint - you can configure document management to store files in SharePoint. But there are million other things that both SharePoint and F&O can do and you can conbine them in many ways.

I'm sorry, but you really must think about your business requirements before you can design a technical solution.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response!

Could you please let me know what are the prerequisites to integrate with SharePoint?

    And

Actually we are planning to make Microsoft Teams as single platform for all the D365FO needs like for workflow approvals, chat bot for customer/vendor/ user information based on query etc.

I could see there is dynamics 365 App is available in Teams, Could you please guide me how we can use that?

    Thanks in advance!

The D365 app which is shown on the MS team is meant for D365 Customer Engagement and not for FinOps

    Hi Diptish,

    Thanks for your response!

Is there any way we can integrate Teams with FinOps?

    Hi MSandy,

You can use Dataverse for Teams to build applications. docs.microsoft.com/.../overview-data-platform

Using Power Automate you can integrate data between Dataverse for Teams and Dynamics 365 FinOps.

It is also possible to create custom Teams applications and connect via web-services.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your responses!

Actually I would like to use Power automate flow to save document to SharePoint using Client ID and secret. Could you please guide me how can I trigger a flow from D365 finOps when attaching a document to record OR while generating/saving report like Purchase order or sales invoice.

I could see OOB sharePoint integration, using the setups in Print management and Doc management parameters, files can be stored to sharePoint.

    Please suggest, Thanks!

    Hi MSandy,

You can trigger a Power Automate flow using Business events. docs.microsoft.com/.../home-page

I am trying the same, I used FSCM Websites as Tabs in Teamchannels integrated with the website app of Teams.

Using Teams V1 everything worked well, as long as we used the Teams Clients, Teams on the web reported "Connection refused".

We tried this now on Team Client V2, and now also in Teams Client the "Connection refused" error raises.

Does anybody know, what are the necessary configurations are that the credentials are parsed through to FSCM in the right way and we can integrate FSCM Websites as Tabs in Teamchannel working with the Teams Client V2?

    Thank you in advance
