Restricted product regional list AX 2012 R2

Hello all,

Our customer has a need to prevent certain items from being sold to a specific customer. My idea was to set up restricted product regional list and then assign this region only to the specific customer. However, for some reason I cannot get it to work, I am still allowed to print a pickling list for the customer with those items.

I set up a new state for Sweden. Then created two regional lists in /Inventory and warehouse management/Product Complience/ Restricted products regional lists

Country/region Name State/province List ID Description Restriction list type
SWE Sweden BLOCK BLOCK XX Company not allowed to purchase items in this list Exclusive
SWE Sweden SWE Inclusive

I then assigned an item to the list, and set the state/province "Block" on the customer: Miscellaneous details->government identification-> "country/region"= SWE and "state/province"= Block

Can anyone spot an error? Thanks in advance!

I have made a small test and the Sales Order blocked me of entering any product that belongs to the restricted country. In your test, did you created a new Sales Order or you are reusing an old one ? I’m sure if the blocking only works while editing lines in Sales Order.

    Hi,

I created a new one. I have tried both creating a sales order from scratch, and create it from the customer.

    Best regards, Lovisa

You altered the addresses to the blocked region as well so the sales order is selling to the blocked area?

Hi Steven, the form used for adresses did not include state - that was what I was missing. I added state/province to the adress form that is being used, and was able to choose the state on the bussiness adress. It now works! :D
