Deleting Business Unit failure due to restricting entity bookable resource has 1 referencing record

Greetings.

We are re-doing the security model from an initial deployment of D265 with PSA and need to delete child business units.  The BU cannot be deleted with the following extracted from the error log:

Deleting records from BusinessUnit (ObjectTypeCode: 10)
for Id(s) : <guid value removed>
Exception : Cascade Delete failed due to cascade restrict relation. Details below :
Restricting entity BookableResource (ObjectTypeCode: 1150) has 1 referencing record(s).

The Bookable Resource table has 0 records with owning business unit = the one I need to delete.  I have verified the ownership of bookable resources both in the UI and running queries via XrmToolBox.  Using Related Records Analyzer didn't shed any light on the situation either.  I have exhausted my ideas in trying to locate the dependent record.

Experience with D365 has me inclined to believe there is some underlying restriction on the combination of business unit, bookable resource, something with scheduling/schedule board/calendar, but the error message is only reporting a generic dependency.

Has anyone else attempted to delete a business unit?  I realize this is a long shot as business units generally don't get deleted.

The deletion cannot be completed in all three of our instances (one prod and the other two a rollback down from prod).

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Steve

    Hello,

There is a Restrict Delete relationship between "BookableResource" and "BookableResourceBooking" entities.

Can you please validate if there is any references in "BookableResourceBooking" owned by that Business unit?

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Steve,

here are PSA entities related to Bookable Resource. Your record may be hiding somewhere in one of these tables.

You can find all entities linked to Bookable Resource here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/web-api/bookableresource?view=dynamics-ce-odata-9.

    I hope it helps.

    Kind regards

    Matthew
