Stop business process flow to go to the next stage

I have a  business process flow .I the second stage i have DecisionMakerStatus field (option set).

Only when DecisionMaker Status is (Approved) it should go to the next stage . and Green tick mark should appear only when approved is selected .

When declined is selected it should not go to the next stage as well asgreen tick mark should not appear..

How to do this?

    You can use Conditional branching?

    www.microsoft.com/.../enhance-business-process-flows-with-branching.aspx

    It can make the next stage dynamically appear or disappear depending on the optionset value
