Missing permissions for Admin group

Hi!

I have a strange situation in Ax 4.0 with Admin group permissions - for custom made object the access rights are missing.

We made two application enivironments from a scratch. Then imported custom made objects into both applications. In one application for a user group Admin there are no access rights (no permissions) to these custom made objects, but in other application there are access rights. And, as far as I know, there is no possibility to change Admin group access rights. This results to a situation that it is not possible to import user group permissions from .asg file - to all objects there is no access rights. (The same file imports correctly in the other application.)

Has anyone had such a situation? And how can I fix the application that Admin group have access to all objects. And that I can import group permissions?

Have you tried restarting the AOS ? If that does not work there is a method for rebuilding the admin group, but I do not remember the name right now. Will have to look it up...

    Dear Kjetil,

Accordingly to Your advice we tried to restart AOS, but unfortunately nothing changed. :( Can you find the name of that method?

    Hi,

if your custom made object are controlled by a configuration key you can

    1. disbale this configuration key
    2. snyc the database
    3. enable the configuration key
    4. sync the database

and the admin group should have all the needed permissions to theses objects.

If your custom object are controlled by a "standard" configuration key you should make sure that no needed data gets destroyed.

If the custom object has no configuration key please take a look at this article:
    http://www.artofcreation.be/2009/04/23/change-security-permissions-for-admin-group/

The article describes a little modification on the form SysUserGroupSecurity to be able to set the permissions for the admin group manually.

    Hope this helps you.
