Keeping Navision 2013 R2 in a STARTED state when installing/configuring the Navision client

Hello,

We have installed Navision 2013 R2 (version 7.10). It seemed to install ok, with the database files residing on our separate SQL Server. We then installed the client on a PC, but we had trouble ‘connecting’ to the Navision server. We looked on the server and saw the the Navision ‘instance’ was in a STOPPED state. We set Navision to the STARTED state, and the client then connected ok; however, after a moment or two of ‘configuring’, it then crashed, saying that the connection to the server was lost. Again, upon checking the server, the instance had changed again to STOPPED.

Has anyone had this problem previously? Do you know how to rectify it?

Many thanks in advance.

Keith
