Cannot set credentials for service accounts for MR

I just promoted a server to be a domain controller and I am setting the credentials for the service accounts. I have MR browse for the account to use and enter the password. I keep getting this message.

2/9/2023 4:53:43 PM - The specified Windows user credentials are not valid.    The specified Windows user credentials are not valid.

This is the same account running SQL. I have tried other admin accounts and none work. Do I need to give PDC sometime for credentials to settle? Is there something else I can try?
