Re-opening a closed year

Hi. Our accounts seems to have some issues with the closed year 2019 and want to re-open it.

Is this possible and if so, is there any risks involved?

Hi,

If the year is closed then you will need a developer who helps you opening it again.

There is in general no technical risk related to that but your accountants might have to re-do all of their monthly reports for 2020 that they already created if they make changes back in 2019 that impact 2020 (Ex: inventory values, fixed assets, etc.)

Thanks Dr. Reinhard. This is actually upto me at this point. I would like to try this on the test environment. Is there any guide / process for doing this?

When you closed the year, Was "Set fiscal year status to permanently" was ticked from GL parameter?
