cannot create temporary file. the disk may be full.

Dear 

one of our ax users is receiving this error 

cannot create temporary file :c:\program files(x86)\microsoft dynamics ax\60\\client\\appl\standard\tmp\$tmp 000803e8.$$$.the disk may be full.

any idea how i can trouble shoot the issue ?

    Hi Silvano,

    Do you have enough free space on c drive?  Also folder can not contain more than 65535 files, please check if it's not your case and of course check if user has access rights to this folder.

    If only one user facing disk full issue, I recommend you to restart his/her PC and check.

    If this issue occurs for all users, you have to check disk space in AOS server.

    well that is just the case , all users are connecting through remote desktop connection and the server disk is not anywhere close to full,

    any suggestions ?

    Restart user machine (pc/laptop) and check.

    ok so i checked the path that i got in the error

    cannot create temporary file :c:\program files(x86)\microsoft dynamics

    ax\60\\client\\appl\standard\tmp\$tmp 000803e8.$$$.the disk may be full.

    but the folder appl doesn't exist ,

    i could not go past

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Client

    where can i find this appl folder , i even checked under client folder if it is a hidden file , it is not

    Do you use citrix or rdp ?

    Maybe that is a solution of your problem community.dynamics.com/.../ax-2009-disk-full-error
