.dll file issue while creating client control add-in

Hi all,

I am working on a Client Control add-in. I have made a new Control Add-in and assigned a public key for it. I have also imported the zip file. Now I have created a new field and selected the new control add-in in properties of the field. But the problem is that it is not loading the triggers which I have defined in visual studio.

Note: I have already done this entire process successfully in my desktop where I have installed navision. But when I am doing the same thing on the remote server which has navision installed, I get this issue.

Kindly suggest.

Thanks.

Hi, I forgot to mention, I have saved my .dll file in  C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\100\RoleTailored Client\Add-ins as well as in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\100\Service\Add-ins

Delete the addin from the property, Save & close the page, and again set the addin in property.

    Hi Maneesha De silva,

I am not getting any error message while selecting the control add-in in the drop down which appears in the properties window of the field created on my page. It gets selected and saved too. But the triggers which I have defined in Visual studio for this add-in do not appear on my page.

Hope you have defined category as JavaScript Control Add-in in the Control Addin Page where you have imported resource file.

    Hi,

I have read the above links. I have already done this process on NAV installed in my desktop environment. But while doing the same process on my server this issue arises.

    Hi Manish,

Yes I have defined the category as Javascript Control Add-in in the Control Addin Page and imported the resource zip file.

Try directly registering your dll on the server manually:(kb.blackbaud.com/.../48280)
