Okay, so this is the last item on my parked item board.
I have been told by a client that they have heard/believe the Project Operations Schedule board can/should block resource availability based on any (non-project Ops) Outlook appointments they may have.
I have done some much time consuming looking through documentation but i dont see any reference to this. Rather than spend more time at this point, It seems like a good option to ask for experience either way.
Is this functionality offered as part of resource availability? And if so, are there special settings to be enabled for it (aside from the std Outlook app).
Can you please elaborate the issue/question in detail?
Generally, Outlook calendar integration can influence resource availability, but this requires Microsoft Exchange integration and the Resource Scheduling Optimization (RSO) setup. Outlook appointments do not automatically block time unless:
-The Exchange to Dataverse sync is configured properly.
-The resource’s calendar is set to consider personal appointments.
-The user is marked as a Bookable Resource and linked to a valid User record.
Do you know if their Outlook calendars are syncing to Dataverse? And which version of Project Operations are they using (Lite, Full, or integrated with F&O)?
