Cannot access Trial Balance in AX 2012

Hi,

For some unknown reason that I don't know, I cannot access the Trial balance in our AX 2012 R3. It looks frozen & I cannot do anything. Then I have to close it to use other functions, modules in AX.

Please advice me!

    Yes, Trial balance & other reports can be accessible without any problem.

    Hi Ludwig,

    I tried to rebuild trial balance on my testing environment & it took hours to run & closed stopped suddenly (due to settings on the server by the IT people, the server closes my session if there's no activity in 45 min). One friend of mine suggested me to go to SQL server to monitor activities. Finally we found that there are some queries for some reason, submitted several times in AX & those virtually block other activities. After killing those queries, every thing back to normal.

    Hi,

    Users do not have to leave AX while you rebuilt balances. They might see that ax is a bit slower for some minutes but that's it usually.

    Hi Ludwig,

    I haven't. Honestly I haven't done any rebuild activities for our trial balance. I'll try to do it in test environment to see how. Just a dummy question of mine: should I ask all users have to quit AX before doing rebuild Balances. Beside Rebuild balances, should I do Update balances too.

    Have you tried rebuilding and updating your account balances in the dimension set window available in the GL setup section?
