Outgoing email status Failures

I just migrated my on-premise org to a new server and upgraded to version 9. I have configured server side email sync but when I test and enable the mailboxes I get an Outgoing status failure. In the Alerts I see "The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden." No other information is given. What am I missing?

    Hi , I was facing same issue before some days, while configuring Server Side Synchronization for Gmail, in order to integrate with CRM. I did it for POP3 services, please check the values in Outgoing mail

    Outgoing server location : smtp.gmail.com (for gmail)

    and in advance settings on Gmail profile page, give Outgoing port as 465

    Hi Diksha,

    This is connecting on-premise CRM to Exchange Online so the server location is https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx which I have tested and verified. This was also working in the previous org which is why I feel like I am missing something.

    I finally got it to work but now it's stopped again inexplicably without me changing anything. Can someone verify what the parameter "RootDomainName" should be in the ConfigureCRMServerSideSync.ps1 script should be?
