Sales Order Reservation - Importing SO Lines

I have a situation where I am importing Sales Order lines using Data Management, with Reservation=Automatic

However, the importing does not reserve any stock when importing.

Is there something I can do about this?

Is the reservation done as expected when you manually create a sales order line? Is there enough stock? Do the dimensions like warehouse and others match the inventory on hand? Do the products have serial numbers?

To answer your questions: Yes, there is enough stock, and the inventory dimensions all match.

When i create a line manually, it works 100%.

Okay, so the setup and data is correct so there must be an issue when the data is imported with the data entity. Are you or is someone able to debug the data entity and code that is called in the system to see why the reservation code is not called?

Hi, in case anyone comes across this with the same issue, we had the same, but the issue was that Unit was not populated on the sales order line.

Hope that helps someone :)

Hi Anton

I ended up importing the sales lines with Reservation=Manual, and then using this to reserve the lines:

I used a batch job for this, with an ORDERING with SalesLine delivery date= Descending and where Delivery Date is within then next 5 days.
