Problem restoring a database file

I've been working on NAV for 3 months and recently i created a database file from one of my customers and wanted to import it to my machine so that i can work on some reports. I have tried opening the database file(*.fdb) from my machine but after locating the database file(which i saved on my desktop) and completing the authentication process and clicking , a brief dialog(kinda like a processing dialog when creating a Company) flashes on the NAV Classic Client and nothing goes on from there. I have tried several times opening the database file but nothing works.

Any one who can help?

Okay i guess it a problem to do with my NAV version....... I'm currently using NAV 2009 R2, Just on curiosity i tried opening the database with NAV 2009 SP1 and it worked just like charm. I wonder what limitation is paused with one version compared to the other.

In addition, after opening my database with SP1 and providing authentication, as it was loading i had to press F12 which by default brings up the Main Menu, then select the company and swooosh...... good to go!!
