NAV 2018 Web Client

Posted on by 4,184

Hi All,

I've installed the setup file W1 version for NAV 2018 also I've configured Web client(localhost). I need to set up the Webclient to https and make it Internet facing but looks like there is a change in the process for NAV 2018. Can someone guide me with the new process ?

    Hi Ama1,

Did you install Webclient from the setup? Is the above error fr a new web client you have created?

It doesn't seem to work even on my system. It shows me:

"HTTP Error 500.52 - URL Rewrite Module Error.

The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred."

    Awesome!

Localhost will only work for your PC. If you desire to use it in your tablet too i.e. making it internet facing then you need to buy the certificate and follow my blog steps referred above.

    Nope, I didn't do that.

But hey a good news! It worked now after I uninstall everything and reinstall with port 8181 instead of standard 8080

I guess it's because I have many previous version of NAV that's why it's cached.

Anyway, I plan to setup a tablet version using my phone to connect to localhost database on my PC, do I have to perform the certification binding?

    Hi

Do check if you have followed step 1-6 of the below blog. Did you bind your certificate?

    Hi Christ,

Still don't work! Very strange. Should I reinstall with different port like 8181 instead of 8080?
