HITB reset process and inventory reconcile stalls

We are needing to run the HITB reset tool in order to implement Binary Stream MEM, as we run the HITB reset tool, it requires an IV reconciliation process that runs forever and never completes. When we have had to run inventory reconcile before, we have done it in groups with success, or best has been using the PSTL inventory reconcile, however, with the HITB, neither of these are options as it runs on everything. Does anyone know of a way around this as we are unable to continue without running the IV reconcile? Any ideas how to get the reconcile to process where we have so much data?

    Hi KJ,

    The idea behind HITB forcing all items to be reconciled before you go on to the next step is to make sure that your items are in the "best shape" they can be. Since adjustments are being made to the General Ledger based off your item quantities, we need those to be correct before doing so. I understand that you are in a situation where IV Reconcile is taking a long time to complete due to the amount of data that you have. You could consider marking the Remove - "Sold Receipts and Cost Change History prior to" box during your Inventory Year-end Close this year end to remove old receipt layers from the IV10200 that you no longer need to reference. Since this is one of the main tables that IV Reconcile refers to, having less in that table would speed up the process for you.

    Otherwise if you are able to run IV Reconcile in "chunks" and get through all items by running it in ranges, then please open up a support ticket. The team can look at what other options might be available to you.
