NAV 2016 linked document deletion: Purchase Orders with Quotes and Sales Orders

We have Quotes linked to Purchase Orders and Purchase Orders linked to Sales Orders. When we want to delete one of the open Quotes or Purchase orders, we are not able to do it.

For example, purchase order PO0002 is linked to Quote number MB4022817.

When I hit the 'Delete' button on the purchase order header ribbon , the following error pops ups:

The Sales Line does not exist. Identification fields and values: Document type='Order',Document No.='MB4022817',Line No.='26000'

Please guide me on the deletion of this documents, thank you very much!

Better option activate debugger and check where you are getting error

Hi DMorales,

I'm thinking this is a customization done by yourself or your partner?

You mentioned that MB4022817 is a Quote. If you look closely at the message, it is looking for a line on a Sales Order (not Quote) number MB4022817.

What does not exist cannot be deleted. :)

Please have your developer revisit his/her C/AL code.

check your reference in Sales order its might be empty on lines ,

thats why you got stuck

Hello AJ Ansari,

Thanks for your reply. Indeed, the docuemnts are imported directly from the page of the customer into NAV. the sales order does not exist. On the Purchase Order header, the Quote number linked to it is MB4022817. there is no sales document with that number.

Hello Maneesha,

The sales order does not exist, that was the first place I looked according to the error text, but there's not such a document. The only ones existing and linked are the PO and the Quote.

according to your task and error message , this should not be some kind of customization but the functionality problem

Have you run any job task according to this process
