Project management and accounting - timesheet policy for over 40 hours a week

Hello,

I have configured a calendar which is 7 days (all days of the week) 8 hours a week for PMA. This is because a few of the project resoruces work on weekends. However, I would like to enfore 40 hour max a week for a resource timesheet (although they can work on weekends but it should not go beyond 40 hours max). I have another calendar with 40 hours which I have created to enforce max hours but it is getting enforced at the daily level rather than being enforced at the total (weekly level). Now, I cannot enter 8 hours everyday at it would become 56 hours and 40 hours max will not work.

I do not see any option to enforce at the total level as it is getting calculated from daily hours.

How do I accomplihs this then? In a nutshell, I want 40 hours max for a week regarless of the day they are working and I do not want to maintain multiple calendars (resource wise).
Please advise.
