Get Top 20 percent Bestselling Item

Hi,

i have task to get top 20 percent bestselling item from Transaction Sale Entry table

right now what i'm doing is copy all data to excel and analyze from that

but could there be a better way such as sql query to pull top 20 percent data from database

    Depends on how you build the report - top in sales volumes or in sales quantities. Please check there are standard reports, e.g. "Inventory - Top 10 List Report" msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh172131(v=nav.90).aspx . How do you calculate now in Excel?

    it worked, thank you for solution

    i don't have to use pivot table to sum total sales by item anymore
