Hi,
Trust you are doing well.
We are evaluating a potential adoption of the NAV production planning worksheet to drive our production schedule.
We want tight control on demand specification.. the worksheet accepts Ending Date for filtering out unnecessary demand, but theres no clarity on which Sales Order Date field does it consider while doing so.. there are various fields like Sales Order Date, Requesting Date, Promised Delivery Date, etc.
Should be great if someone could shed some light on this.
Thanks.

hi,
the MPS filters out all Sales Orders with Shipment Date outside Ending Date in worksheet.
..Shipment Date is an estimate a value that NAV calculates internally as required,
As per Archerpoint website shared above
"NAV subtracts the SHIPPING TIME from the Promised Delivery Date and populates the Planned Shipment Date. The WAREHOUSE OUTBOUND HANDLING TIME is subtracted from the Planned Ship Date and populates the Shipment Date on the Sales Lines."
so technically, the MPS is a function of the Promised Delivery Date?
Hope i got this correct..
Thanks.
hi,
MPS Planning by "Shipment date"
"Request delivery date" in oder header calculates the "Shipment date" in Sales order lines, MPS plan for "Shipment Date" in lines+ default safety lead time etc. (+ min\max order qty+dumper period etc.)
"Shipment date" is calculated also adding Customer Shipping Time from Customer Base Calendar.
