Time Sheet including several overtime categories

Hi everyone,

maybe someone can help out with an idea how to modify Dynamics FS to meet our time sheet requirements.

We need one time sheet document per work order. The generated document should include information like total work duration, name of the resource, date of the service, travel time (start & end) and break time. Because of our 5 overtime categories next to the normal working hours, our Microsoft partner can't offer a clear solution. They say that the process used by Field Service to summarize booking timestamps into booking journals is a bit complicated and that there is no easy way to configure the booking journal entity for our requirement regarding overtime.

Requirement: The hourly rates for the resources apply to working hours, travel times, waiting times and preparation times. If a technician works during normal working hours [Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.], overtime surcharges won't apply, unless the assignment exceeds 8 hours within this time. If the technician starts before 7 a.m., corresponding surcharges apply after 8 hours. Surcharges outside the normal working hours should be added to the time sheet report as follows:

  • 25% surcharge after 5 p.m. - or after 8 - 10 hours
  • 50% surcharge after 7:00 p.m. - or after more than 10 hours
  • 60% surcharge after 10 pm
  • 50% surcharge on Saturdays
  • 100% surcharge on Sundays and public holidays

    Hi,

Please refer to the following article.

Thanks Nya, but unfortunately it is not the solution to our problem. It's not about time entries, it's about the amount of possible booking journals.

I have absolutely the same requirement and do magic tricks with PowerBi. Did you find any solution in Dynamics?
