How to Assign a Default Profile to a User and Restrict Access to Other Profiles?

Hello,

I need assistance with setting up user roles in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. I want to assign a default profile (role) to a specific user and ensure that this user cannot switch to or use any other profile. The goal is to restrict their access strictly to the functionalities available within the assigned profile.
Could anyone guide me on how to configure this in Business Central? Any step-by-step instructions or best practices for managing user profiles and permissions in this manner would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
     
    You can set a default profile for every user on the Profile (Roles), but not for a specific user.
    Profiles that have ''Navigation menu only.'' as description are filtered out by default, and users cannot see that profile on the My Settings even if users have all permissions to see these profiles.
     
    You can modify every user's profile on the User Settings page manually.
     
    Also, you can use Permission sets to add only relevant roles to the Security Groups or users specifically, and you will not have problems with that.
