Is there anyway to turn off Invites and calender syncs only on Appointment Type Activities, while still leaving emails enabled?
I have the same question (0)

I think there are few options:

    1.  You can leave required field empty
    2.  You can turn of the Appointment and Task sync from System settings
    3.  You can deactivate your synchronisation filters on appointments or amend them so that only appointments with a start date in the future are synchronised from Synchronisation tab on Person options.
    4.  You can use XRMToolBox Org settings plugin to enable AllowSaveAsDraftAppointment that will allow appointments to be saved as draft and that won't send out the emails.

    Hope this helps.
