Demand Forecasting on AX2012 R2 ?

Dear all,

is there any possibility where we could install the demand forecasting functionalities (standard in AX2012 R3) on a AX2012 R2-environment ? Perhaps via a downgrade ? Anyone a suggestion ?

I believe it is to do with the data structure and the staging tables. Ultimately it is exporting the forecast to Excel and using SQL analysis services to analyse the data alongside some historical transactional cubes and then to import back in. Very little in AX so the question would be why do you want it? Why not design something to export the forecast, use SQL analysis services and import it back!
