Error installing Dynamics NAV 2016

Hello 

I am trying to install Microsft Dynamics NAV 2016 but I get me this error after installing :

Microsoft Dynamics NAV Build 42815
Error Report
Setup Components
The component was rolled back.
Web Server Components
IIS prerequisites for Web Server Components
An error has occurred while trying to install required dependencies for Web Server components.
For more information about the error, see the %TMP%\Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.WebClient.DependencyInstaller.log file.
For more information about how to install Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client, see the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 Help.

I tried reinstalling many times but I still get the same problem.

Can you help me please

    OK, understand, but I can still continue using the software, right? The only mistake is when I want to install the IIS Web Server. everything else should work fine right? I am learning to use "ERP Software" in college. It is why I am using microsoft dynamics.

    HI Drastro,

    Windows 10 home Edition is not a supported operating system for Dynamics NAV 2016.

    Can you help me please?  step by step? I have Windows 10 home

    Already try disabling the firewall, try installing from the "Prerequisite Components" folder. but nothing has worked for me.

    Hello, thank you all for your replies

    I solved this problem by changing the service account while installing :

    I used the computer name / account session name (of windows)  (DESKTOP-7B...\wass...)

    It's important to write the session password just below

    before that I used gpedit.msc (local strategies) to open session as a service.

    Then I installed the service :)

    Hello,

    I believe that there are left overs that cause the failure.

     Usually, the WebClient instance folder in “C:\inetpub\wwwroot” will not be removed after an uninstall so they can manually remove it.

    C:\inetpub\wwwroot\DynamicsNAV90

    You can use PowerShell cmd Get-NAVWebServerInstance to list existings WebClient instances:

    If it lists an existing WebClient instance that is from a previously attempted installation, you can use

    Remove-NAVWebServerInstance and remove it.

    Hi,

    I think you need to clear all what you have installed and re-install following component using custom installation -

    1. Client.

    2. Administration Tool.

    3. Server.

    4. SQL Server Database Component.

    Once done i guess you should be good to go. Remember to run the setup as administrator.

    I installed every component but the server where there is a problem because initially I I got this error when I tried to install the server :

    "  The service 'Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server [DynamicsNAV90]' (MicrosoftDynamicsNavServer$DynamicsNAV90) failed to start. This can be caused by one of several issues. For example, the password for the account that runs the service may be incorrect, or there could be a conflict in port sharing for the port settings for the service, or you have specified that the port for the server should be opened in the Windows firewall even though the Windows firewall is not enabled on the computer. For more information, see the event viewer.  "

    I ried turning on Windows features  from control panel ... .

    I installed all the components but the server so obviously when I run Dynamcis NAV 2016 it says that there is problem connecting to nav server.

    When I open Microsoft Dynamcis server.msc it says " The dynamics NAV server is not installed on this computer ... "

    Is there a way to solve the server installing problem  ?

    Hey Sulav,

    I think you didn't read that he is using the home edition. Web Server component cannot be installed on home edition.

    Under section -  Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Server Components Requirements

    Read the supported operating system.

    To solve this problem you can go to control panel->programs an features

    On the top left corner you can see Turn  Windows Features on or off.Click on it and then in the list you can select Internet Information Services.It will download the required files automatically.After downloading it will install the IIS and then just restart the computer and start your installation again.It will work.I had same problems few months back.

    So its installed, Great.

    Now check event log and let us know what is the error message there. There are some checks that you can do -

    1. Check the database name in the service.

    2. Check the user that is used to run NAV services and it should have dbo permission on SQL Server Database.

    3. Check can you can access database via developer environment. If not check SQL access via firewall and SQL Port configuration.
