How to track finished production order

For production orders that not finished yet, we have a button called 'Order Tracking' at line level, but once the order finished this button is missing.

not sure how can we track finished production orders ? thank you.

How to track finished production order

Hello,

after you change the status of the production order to finish, the production order will move to the Finished Production Orders list so you can track them on that list. Also, you will have an Item Leder Entry and Capacity Ledger Entries, if you are working with Work Centers, generated for every item production process. How to track finished production order

The Order Tracking is not tracking the Production Order, but rather the Item being produced. Once the Item has been Output the "Order Tracking" (aka reservation entry) is moved to the Item Ledger Entry. If you go to the Item Ledger for the Item you produced, you should see an "Order Tracking" button there which will show you what that Item is allocated to.

Keep in mind, the Order Tracking only works for Lot-for-Lot/Order Reordering Policies OR Items you have set a hard Reserve against.
