Workflow to check if phone number is less than 5 characters

We have the standard 3CX integration but it's also creating phone call records for internal calls. I want to set up a workflow to mark all calls with a phone number that is less than 5 characters long as internal calls so I can filter them out of the dashboards. Is this possible within a Workflow?

At the moment I have a workflow set-up but it relies on the extension being listed against a staff member in the CRM. I'd rather it just detect the number of characters in the phone number if it can.
