How to import item with item tracking code from configuration package (Rapidstart)

Hi,

Does anyone know how to import item with item tracking code from Configuration Package?

I could import items into Business Central through Configuration Package/Rapid Start Service when item costing method is not Specific. I cannot import item data when item costing method was Specific.
The error message is
Item Tracking Code must have a value in item: No. = XXXXX. It cannot be zero or empty.

I entered Item Tracking Code in my Excel file exported and downloaded from Config. Package Card in Business Central, but that error always comes out with Specific as Costing Method.
If I change Costing method to FIFO, there is no error comes out.

Thank you,

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I hope I understood your problem. When we apply package field is applied depending upon the Processing order. By default processing order of Costing Method comes before Item Tracking code. You need to change processing order so that Item tracking code field should be applied first and then costing method field should be applied.

You can do this by opening Configuration Package and then Open the No of fields included. Then as in image use the action to take Costing Method below Item tracking code. See images below:

    After:

In this way error will be solved.

Another easy way to solve this error is if you disable validation on Costing Method field for this package. See image:

    Hi Bilal,

    Thank you for the solution.

Since I unchecked Validate Field on Costing Method, I could import item master data via Configuration Package without error.
